We are glad you looked us up!

Now is a better time than ever to be a member of the SA Ranger Association (SARA) and the Thin Green Line (TGL).

10% of all membership fees go directly to the Thin Green Line and link us as members to the International Ranger Federation, a global network! SARA is moving along in leaps and bounds and offers so many benefits to our members. Following last year’s very successful ‘Annual Migration’ that was attended by around 60 members at Calperum Station, we had three members represent SARA and DEW in Katherine, NT in August at the Council of Australian Ranger Associations (CARA). At these events, members are exposed to an invaluable source of networking, professional development, listening to guest speakers covering a wide range of relevant topics and have the opportunity to share, promote and get feedback on their own projects and learnings.

It’s all about professional development and support for ‘rangers’ and conservation workers in whatever role or title they hold.

Welcome to the SARA website

South Australia has many unique and wonderful natural and cultural treasures, some well known, others a little less.

All our parks and the wider environment have a dedicated group of professionals, working hard to protect and look after it for future generations.

SARA brings everyone together and on our website you can find news, information, great stories and links, not only from South Australia but across the Country and around the Globe.

Welcome to our SARA family where we bring the Environment People Together

Regards Tammy Leggett

President SARA
